The Remote Work Visa is formally added to Immigration Regulations under Section 11(2) of the Immigration Act. Requirements: employment or contract with entity outside South Africa, minimum annual earnings of ZAR 650,976 (verified via 3 months bank statements), comprehensive medical insurance, criminal record check. Holders cannot work for SA employers or freelance for SA businesses. Valid for up to 1 year, renewable up to 3 years total. Must register with SARS if present 183+ days in any 12-month period.
