Allows proof of SAQA application submission instead of completed SAQA evaluation certificate for work visa applications.

Full Detail

Applicants may now submit proof of SAQA application submission instead of a completed SAQA evaluation certificate. If full SAQA certificate is provided: visa issued for up to 5 years. If only proof of SAQA application is provided: visa issued for 1 year, renewable to full 5-year period once SAQA certificate is obtained. Extension can be applied for from within South Africa.

Impact on Applications

Removes major bottleneck - SAQA evaluations take months. Applicants can now proceed with proof of submission and get initial 1-year visa.
